Grundtvig Workshop Application Guide
Adult Learners wishing to participate to the Workshop have to complete 3 steps:
- to complete the "Learner’s Application Form" (click here to download)
- to prepare a web based Scenario related to politics, e.g presenting/ proposing in initial analysis of an issue of interest to them, in the form of a powerpoint presentation (click here to download a scenario submission template and here to load an example).
These two files need to be provided as an attachement to an email that will be sent to Nikos Marianos, while the "Learner’s Application Form" needs to be sent also by mail until Wednesday 20/12/2010 to the following address:

The Learner’s Application Form requires input regarding the applicant's personal information, language skills, motivations to participate to the workshop and interest in politics and Web 2.0 tools. The applicant also has to confirm that he understands and intends to obey to a series of principles and rules set by Lifelong Learning / Grundtvig National Agencies.
The scenarios submission aims to help applicants to prepare for the work to be carried out in the workshop, and the organisers to select the applicants that will have an active participation and actual interest in the workshop. The scenario needs to be developed around a political topics which is interesting to the applicant. An indicative list of topics is the following:
- European Elections
- National Elections
- Education
- Economy
- Social security
- Immigration
- Foreign policy
- Globalisation
- Environment
- Disarmament
- Other
The scenario submission needs to be prepared using the predefined template and follow/ expand the approach of the prepared example. The Scenario must have a list of learning activities around the selected political topic, using Web resources. A starting point for a scenario submission is the following list of activities:
- Activity 1: Find a video in a video sharing portal that is related to the selected topic and comment on it.
- Activity 2: Find a related interview or an article in a blog, wiki or a forum and comment on the presented opinions.
- Activity 3: Search the web and present information about the selected topic.
- Activity 4: Find an related image (with a non commercial license) in a image sharing web site and write a few words to present your views about the selected topic.
All submissions will be reviewed by at least three expert reviewers from a multinational team.
A maximum number of 5 participants per country can be accepted.
Applicants will be informed on the results of their selection by 20/01/2011.
The workshop organizers will cover entirely the expenses (including travel costs, accommodation, meals and the course fee) of the selected applicants.
According to the Grundvig Workshop rules, only applications from other countries than Greece may be selected for funding - Greek applicants may participants, but will need to cover the expenses from own sources.
