Catherina Voreadou – Natural History Museum of Crete, GreeceDr. Voreadou Catherina is, since 1998, the head of Education Dept and Hydrobiology Lab of the Natural History Museum of Crete (University of Crete). Concerning Education she has promoted Environmental Long Life Education, Teachers’ Training and development of educational material. She has coordinated 10 research projects funded either by National or European sources. She has participated to 22 National/International congresses with 23 announcements and she has been author or editor to many editions.
Considering the Hydrobiology Lab’s her field of interest is protection, conservation and management of freshwater ecosystems, implementation and monitoring of WFD 60/2000 in Greece, biodiversity of freshwater ecosystems, ecology of intermittent and ephemeral streams and freshwater pollution. She has participated to 18 National or European research funded projects. She is a member of Hellenic Zoological Society, C.I.E.S.M., FBA and SIL. Since 2007 she is also the head of Natural History Museum of Crete’s Exhibition Halls.
