Green Learning Workshop

Friday, October 7

Time Session Title                              Description
9:00 - 10:30 Green Learning Network Workshop Coherence in Information for Agricultural Research for Development (CIARD)
CIP-PSP Organic.Lingua Project

The Coherence in Information for Agricultural Research for Development (CIARD) initiative is working to make agricultural research information publicly available and accessible to all. The institutions that participate in CIARD endorse the CIARD Manifesto, evaluate their information management practices against the CIARD Checklist of good practices, share and follow the CIARD pathways towards better accessibility of information, contribute case studies and register their information services in the CIARD RING.

This meeting is organized by the CIARD initiative and the CIP-PSP Organic.Lingua and CIP-PSP VOA3R (Virtual Open Access Agriculture & Aquaculture Repository - Sharing Scientific and Scholarly Research related to Agriculture, Food and Environment) projects in order to formulate a steering group that will decide on a concrete plan and set of joint actions to launch a global Green Learning Network of agricultural learning repositories and portals.

The steering group will study the priorities and requirements of the CIARD initiative, as well as core issues that need to be resolved by the exchange of good practices and the application of state-of-art technologies. A primary issue during this initial meeting shall be multilinguality of learning resources and web portals: the discussion on this topic will be powered by the experience and expertise of Organic.Lingua.
